Les Gets Ski Resort
Source: www.lesgets.com
Les Gets village (1,172 to 2,002 meters) is located between Geneva Lake and Mont-Blanc, in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area. The landscape and quality of life are as wonderful during ski season as the rest of the year. That is why about 1,200 local people live there all year round. There is an amazing array of shops offering handmade chocolates and cheeses, fine wines, ski equipment, Savoyard home decorations and much more.
The architecture of the village is typically Savoyard with most buildings built in wood and stone. The village also offers access to all of the facilities you would expect to find in a bustling modern ski resort.
Access to Les Gets is easy thanks to Geneva international airport which is only an hour drive away, and Lyon international airport which is about 2 hours drive away.
The Portes du Soleil area streches over France and Switzerland and comprises 12 resorts. 8 are French, including Les Gets, and 4 are Swiss. It is the largest international and interconnected ski area in the world. Only one pass is needed for the 197 ski lifts and 280 signed pistes offered in the area.
